Newport - St. Paul Cold Storage is locally owned and operated. A family-owned business established in 1958, NCS is a third generation professionally operated business. We specialize in serving the Twin Cities/ Upper Midwest market. We work hard everyday to provide our customers with attentive and responsive service.

Newport-St. Paul Cold Storage Co. continued success has resulted in new facility expansions in 1986, 1990, 1992, 1995 and 2003. Our current facility boasts 4,000,000 cubic feet of very flexible cold storage space. Over 50% of our space is convertible to freezer or refrigerated space.

As a member of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouse (IARW) we have many resources available to us and our customers such as extensive research in storage temperatures and impact on product quality. Our facilities and operational procedures are audited annually by the American Institute of Baking (AIB) for effectiveness. Each year we have received a SUPERIOR rating, the highest rating available.  In addition, many of our Fortune 500 customers audit us annually. We are inspected multiple times during the year by the State of Minnesota Department of Health, Federal Drug and Administration, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture/FSIS.   We receive daily services from the U.S.D.A./F.S.I.S. and the U.S.D.A. Veterinary Services because our significant export volume.
